NPP "Technology" has begun mass production of import-substituted components for SJ-100 aircraft: cockpit glazing and protection of external lighting equipment. Domestic glazing is equipped with heating and has passed all ground tests, including bird strike resistance.
Russian products were installed on a prototype SJ-100, which is currently undergoing flight tests.
For one SJ-100, NPP "Technology" produces six cockpit glazing products that remain operational at temperatures from -62 to +85 °C. Windshields and windows are a seven-layer structure: four silicate glasses glued together with three layers of polymer film. This design can withstand a bird strike at speeds of over 570 km/h. The side windows of the cockpit are triplex made of organic glass. Protection of signal lights and lighting equipment on the wings, fuselage and tail unit is made of organic glass.
