At the «Army-2023» forum in Moscow, a launcher of the Russian strategic missile system with the «Yars» solid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missile will be demonstrated for the first time.
For the first time, a wide range of weapons, military and special equipment of the Strategic Missile Forces [Strategic Missile Forces] will be presented on the open площадка of the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Center. Taking into account the numerous requests and wishes of regular visitors to the forum and veterans of the missile forces, along with the traditional Topol PGRK starting battery, an autonomous launcher and a combat duty support vehicle of the Yars mobile missile system will be shown for the first time. This exposition will become a symbol of the rearmament of the mobile group of the Strategic Missile Forces.
By the end of the year, the latest «Yars» complexes will replace the «Topol»-type complexes currently in service with the Strategic Missile Forces.
Also, according to Sergei Karakaev, the «Army-2023» will show the booster stage of the «Avangard» intercontinental ballistic missile. The basis of the "Avangard" complex is a hypersonic guided warhead, launched to the target using the UR-100N UTTH/RS-28 intercontinental ballistic missile. According to the creators, the hypersonic warhead can reach speeds of up to Mach 28 (about 9.5 kilometers per second).
