Last week, Vladimir Putin came up with the idea to transition Russian officials to Russian cars. The deputies supported the idea, as did ordinary Russians, and, of course, domestic car manufacturers. Including Aurus.
Aurus currently offers two production models – the large sedan Senat and the large SUV Komendant. Senat is available in two body versions – regular and elongated (limousine). However, it turns out that the "Komendant" will also have an elongated version. As the Telegram channel "Auto Stream" writes, the Komendant limousine in 2024 will be presented by RIDA company from Nizhny Novgorod, specializing in the production of armored vehicles, so the elongated Komendant will be armored right away.
The SUV will grow by half a meter – the length will increase to 5880 mm. The Komendant limousine will get its own panels for rear doors, roof and rear fenders. The power train, it seems, will remain the same. That is, under the hood there will be an 8-cylinder NAMI-4123 V-shaped engine with a volume of 4.4 liters, outputting 598 hp. This engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, and the drive, of course, will be all-wheel.
The cost of a regular Aurus Komendant is approximately 40 million rubles. One can assume that the armored Komendant limousine will be twice as expensive.
