Modern cars are often equipped with unnecessary options that drivers don't use at all. This was stated by Alexey Balashov, Director of Service and Spare Parts at Avilon Mercedes-Benz.
These include massage and seat ventilation, as well as a windshield washer fluid indicator and smartphone integration via apps.
While the idea of a massage during a trip may seem tempting, in reality, such systems often do not provide a full relaxing effect and feel more like a slight vibration than a massage. This feature is not worth the extra cost.
He also noted that the windshield washer fluid level indicator is rarely used by drivers, as they are able to determine for themselves when there is not enough fluid. The seat ventilation system is designed to cool their surface in hot weather. But many drivers prefer to use air conditioning, considering this function redundant.
Modern cars allow you to control various functions via smartphone, Balashov noted. However, these systems are often complex to use and require constant phone connection, which reduces their convenience compared to traditional buttons.
Earlier, Russians were warned that washing a car in the country can result in a fine. It is recommended to use car washes, as water pollutes the environment when washing a car.
