Tanks are the pinnacle of modern armored vehicles. Military expert and modeler Florian Fendt named the 10 best tanks in the world, including the Russian T-14 "Armata" and T-90.
The first place in the ranking is occupied by the American M1 Abrams. The main battle tank of the USA has been mass-produced since 1980. The vehicle is in service with Egypt, Australia, Poland, and Morocco. The expert placed the Russian T-14 "Armata" in second place.
T-14 "Armata"
The tank was developed by engineers at "Uralvagonzavod". Production of the T-14 began in 2021. The combat vehicle is called ultra-modern because it can be used as part of a tactical unit for reconnaissance, target designation, and fire adjustment for howitzers, anti-aircraft missile systems, and tanks.
Characteristics of the T-14 "Armata" tank:

The third and fourth places are occupied by the German Leopard 2 and the British Challenger 2.
Leopard is known for its maneuverability, firepower, and advanced technologies. Challenger 2 is distinguished by its exceptional durability and combat performance.
The fifth place belongs to the Israeli tank Merkava Mk 4M. This is a combination of a main battle tank and an armored personnel carrier. Its layout is copied from the Soviet BMP. The engine and transmission are located in the front of the hull, and a compartment for transporting military personnel is located in the rear.
In sixth and seventh place are the Japanese Type-90 and the South Korean K2 Black Panther.
The Type-90 received an improved fire control system. Advanced technologies have been introduced in the K2 Black Panther.
The top 10 also includes the French Leclerc, the Chinese ZTZ-99 (Type 99), and the Russian T-90.
The T-90 "Vladimir" is one of the best-selling tanks in the world between 2001 and 2010. It is a deep modernization of the T-72B tank.
