Tanks are the pinnacle of modern armored vehicles. Military expert and modeler Florian Fendt named the 10 best tanks in the world, including the Russian T-14 "Armata" and T-90.
The AmericanM1 Abrams topped the ranking. The main battle tank of the USA has been mass-produced since 1980. The vehicle is in service with Egypt, Australia, Poland, and Morocco. The expert placed the RussianT-14 "Armata" in second place.
T-14 "Armata"
The tank was developed by engineers at Uralvagonzavod. Production of the T-14 began in 2021. The combat vehicle is called ultra-modern, as it can be used as part of a tactical unit for reconnaissance, target designation, and fire adjustment of howitzers, anti-aircraft missile systems, and tanks.

The fifth place belongs to the Israeli tankMerkava Mk 4M. This is a combination of a main battle tank and an armored personnel carrier. Its layout is copied from the Soviet BMP. The engine and transmission are located in the front of the hull, and a compartment for transporting military personnel is located in the rear.
The JapaneseType-90 and the South KoreanK2 Black Panther are in sixth and seventh places.
The Type-90 received an improved fire control system. Advanced technologies have been introduced into the K2 Black Panther.
The top 10 also includes the FrenchLeclerc, the Chinese ZTZ-99 (Type 99) and the RussianT-90.
The T-90 "Vladimir" is one of the best-selling tanks in the world between 2001 and 2010. It is a deep modernization of the T-72B tank.
