Стратегическая независимость: Россия восстановит утраченное после распада СССР производство редкоземельных магнитов

The production will involve exclusively domestic resources

The first rare-earth magnet production facility will appear in Russia. The site for it will be the technology park in the north of the Udmurt Republic in Glazov. The Rosatom State Corporation is participating in the project.

Rare-earth magnets are needed in various modern devices. They are used in the production of electric motors and generators, medical equipment, including MRI machines. Currently, Russia is completely dependent on foreign supplies of such components.

By 2028, Russia plans to produce 1,000 tons of products per year, and in the future, increase the volume threefold. This will fully cover the country's current needs and ensure strategic independence in the industry.

Special attention will be paid to the use of exclusively domestic resources. This means that the company will fully control the entire process — from the extraction of rare-earth metals to the manufacture of finished magnets.

The Soviet Union was one of the leaders in the production of rare-earth metals and products based on them. However, after the collapse of the USSR, this industry declined. Now Russia is actively reviving the entire production chain: from raw material extraction to the creation of finished products from it.

Currently, China occupies a leading position in the world in the extraction of rare-earth metals. However, the country is gradually introducing restrictions on their export, which makes the restoration of this industry in Russia even more relevant.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec has developed an interactive interface for machine tool operators. It includes a touch panel installed on the machine, a computer, and specialized software. With the help of the complex, you can work with technical documentation and visualize the process of processing parts, including using 3D models.
