The Russian AMN-590951 «Spartak» armored car is an ideal platform for installing various modular weapons and special equipment on it, according to military analyst Evgeny Damantsev. Domestic specialists have developed a modification of the combat vehicle with a 40-barrel package from the 9K51M «Tornado-G» multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). The system is designed to support combined arms units and subunits with fire.
The maximum firing range of the 9K51M «Tornado-G» system is 40 km, the minimum is 4 km. Transfer from the stowed position to the combat position — 30 seconds. Launching all 40 rockets takes 20 seconds.
The combat vehicle is equipped with an automated fire control system. It allows the crew to work on the target without leaving the protected cabin.
«Spartak» is a two-axle armored car with an all-wheel drive chassis and a monocoque body.
