Как защитить арсеналы от беспилотников противника: забытый проект управляемого оружия «Угроза»

Analyst Damantsev: the effectiveness of shells is approximately 5-8 times higher than that of Tor-M2 and Buk-M3 missiles

Protecting military facilities and arsenals with weapons from long-range enemy drones has become an urgent task for the Russian Armed Forces. For these purposes, both Tor-M2 and Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as large-caliber small arms mounted on the open body of cars, are used. However, the Russian military-industrial complex also has exotic developments in the field of aviation guided missile systems, which could turn into a full-fledged "panacea" in curbing massive raids by UAVs-"kamikaze", said military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

We are talking about the project of the Ugroza guided aviation missile weapon system. The analyst recalled that the system was developed in the late 90s by specialists from STC JSC AMETEH.

Then, at exhibitions, they demonstrated models of 80-mm S-8Kor rockets, adjustable 57-mm S-5Kor rockets, and 122-mm S-13Kor rockets in various warhead designs.

At the same time, all three modifications of guided rockets initially belonged to the "air-to-surface" class and were intended to engage moving and stationary ground and surface targets.

Damantsev noted that the modernization of each unguided missile to the Kor modification involved converting from a single-stage layout to a two-stage layout with the equipment of a detachable small-sized guided combat stage with a semi-active laser homing head.

But these shells also have another important technical feature - the interception of small-sized air targets with an ultra-small reflecting surface, including UAVs-"kamikaze" and copters such as "Baba Yaga". For timely initiation of the warhead, the combat stages, when approaching enemy drones, can be equipped with radar or non-contact laser fuses.

The analyst emphasized that, according to the "cost-effectiveness" criterion, the guided missiles S-5Kor, S-13Kor, S-8Kor S-5Kor are able to surpass the 9M338K anti-aircraft missiles of the Tor-M2 and Buk-M3 complexes by approximately 8 times.

Earlier www1.ru wrote that Russian soldiers on the front line began to use a flamethrower drone. This is their own development, which is a fairly simple but effective system.
