New Su-34 fighter-bombers, which are currently being supplied to the Russian Aerospace Forces, have undergone serious modernization. This was stated by Vladimir Popov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, retired Major General.

According to him, OAK designers carried out a large set of changes to the equipment of the 4th generation combat aircraft.
This is primarily due to refinements in the electronic filling of the engines — this has increased the efficiency and economy of fuel use.
Popov added that, taking into account the experience of combat operations, the Su-34 also had its onboard equipment refined and new weapon systems and ammunition introduced. In addition, the 'duckling' had its electronic warfare system modernized.
Meanwhile, new Su-34 bombers are in production, Rostec noted. Earlier, the United Aircraft Corporation, as part of the state defense order, handed over another batch of these aircraft to the Ministry of Defence.
