The compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (OSAGO) policy in Russia has risen to an average of 7877 rubles - 16% more than a year ago, and 6.8% compared to the previous quarter. This was reported by the Finuslugi marketplace based on policies actually issued in July-September.

The regional variation is enormous. In Novosibirsk Oblast, the average payment reached 13,027 rubles, in Khabarovsk Krai - 10,676, in Kamchatka - 9873, in Moscow - 9853, in Primorsky Krai - 9548. The cheapest insurance is in Nenets Autonomous Okrug (5439 rubles), Pskov Oblast (5566), and Belgorod Oblast (6150). Over nine months, the price increased by 15.2%.
For drivers, this means an increase in mandatory car expenses. The difference between the most expensive and cheapest region is almost 2.4 times, although the policy is mandatory for everyone by law. Lada is insured most often - 19.3% of policies, followed by Toyota (9.1%), Hyundai and Kia (6.9% each).
