The Borus airline has preliminarily agreed with UZGA on the purchase of 10 LMS-901 aircraft. However, before starting passenger transportation, the Baikals are planned to be used for other aviation work, explained the carrier's CEO Evgeny Prisyazhnyuk.

According to him, the LMS-901 will first be sent for forest aviation, search and rescue, and aerial photography tasks to identify all the aircraft's "teething problems".
Some technical malfunctions that will occur. And only then can it be calmly, with a clear conscience, allowed to perform commercial passenger transportation.
The head of Rosaviatsia, Dmitry Yadrov, noted that airlines had ordered a total of 100 "Baikals". "Pervy Tekhnichesky" calculated that this is 40 times less than the An-2s built over all time.
As of autumn 2026, the LMS-901 is at the stage of preparing a prototype for static endurance tests.
