ODK's military aircraft engines have an effective "second life" on the ground. A striking example is the industrial AL-31ST, created based on the AL-31F engine from Su-27 fighters. It has been operating at Gazprom facilities for many years.

Now these same technologies are being scaled up – ODK has signed an agreement with the Tyumen Region on the development of autonomous energy. Aviation units will provide Siberian factories and remote settlements not just with gas, but with light and heat.
For this project, ODK will use mobile rapidly deployable power plants with a capacity of 25 MW. Their key element is the AL-41ST-25 gas turbine drive.
This engine was developed based on the same "AL" technological platform as the engines for the Su-27 family and its modern modifications.
In fact, combat aviation technologies have been adapted to operate in the extreme climatic conditions of Siberia, transforming a military turbine into a powerful civilian generator.
