The American company Valve, through Russian lawyers, has demanded the closure of one of the largest domestic services for changing skins in Counter-Strike 2 — the project has already announced its cessation of operations. Insider Gabe Follower reported the claim on X.

Valve Corporation's interests are represented by the law firm "Melling, Voitishkin and Partners". In a document dated September 1, 2026, the lawyers claim infringement of the developer's exclusive rights to software, trademarks, and in-game skins for weapons, knives, and gloves.

The creators of the software are required to immediately cease operation of the service, delete the website, source code, and project pages on social networks. Otherwise, the lawyers reserve the right to go to court for monetary compensation and to file a statement with law enforcement agencies to initiate a criminal case.

The platform developers announced the closure of the project after two years of operation, citing the copyright holder's claim and lack of choice. This is the first instance of direct legal prosecution by Valve against developers of game-related software and cheats in Russia. The decision could set a precedent for legal action against creators of third-party modifications for CS2 in the Russian segment.
