Russian engineers have created a drone control station which, according to the developer, allows operators to increase their operating range by 40–45 km. During tests, the operator of the "Molniya-2" UAV managed to cover a distance of 102 km. Details were revealed by the "Svarog" scientific and production center.

The new system was named "NSU 4.0 V2 lite". NSU stands for ground control station, which an operator uses to control a drone.
At "Svarog", it was reported that the station was made modular and its operation with video signal frequencies was modernized. Thanks to interchangeable blocks, it can be configured for the required frequencies. These interchangeable elements include communication amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, and filters.
According to a representative of the center, such modernization allowed increasing the operating range of operators by 40–45 km. During tests, the operator of "Molniya-2" managed to cover a distance of 102 km.
The manufacturer initially created "NSU 4.0 V2 lite" without unnecessary functions. It was decided to include only those capabilities in the station that an operator needs to perform a specific task. This approach prevents overloading the equipment with functions that pilots practically do not use or rarely access.
At "Svarog", an example of a configuration that a unit might need was given: one control range, one video channel, a remote control, a master remote control, and a cable part. According to the developer's idea, this should not be a station with the largest possible set of characteristics, but a ready-made solution for a specific range and a specific task.
