United Aircraft Corporation (OAK) has signed agreements with Indian airlines for the supply of 105 Il-114-300 turboprop aircraft. The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the "Innoprom. India" exhibition.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that Air Kerala will receive up to 20 aircraft, and Pinnacle Air – 50 aircraft.

Sleek Aviation, in a memorandum of understanding, indicated a need for 35 aircraft. In addition, the parties agreed to open a training center with a full-flight simulator at the operator's base.

Aviation blogger SkyExpert explained that for some regional airlines with a fleet of Soviet An-26 and An-24 aircraft, operating the Il-114-300 could prove prohibitively expensive.

With a base cost of 2 billion rubles for the Il-114-300 and a preferential rate of even 2%, the monthly payment could be around 20 million rubles for 10 years. This would require flying at least 250 hours at full capacity with an average ticket price of 15 thousand rubles on 3-hour flights.
