The freezer longliner-processor "Gandvik-3" of project MT1112XL, which is being built for the fishing company "Virma" under the state program "quotas for keel", was launched at the Severnaya Verf shipyard. This was reported to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" by the press service of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK).

After the vessel is launched, St. Petersburg shipbuilders will complete the installation and adjustment of equipment and systems. Then the processor will be prepared for mooring and sea trials.

"Gandvik-3" is the fourth longliner of project MT1112XL. Its technological complex equipment (which ensures fishing, processing, and freezing of products) has been partially import-substituted. All implemented solutions have been adapted to the requirements of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

The vessel is designed for catching cod, haddock, halibut, and catfish. It will be operated in the Barents Sea. The production capacity of the technological line is processing up to 35 tons of raw materials and producing up to 25 tons of finished products per day.

The freezer hold is designed for approximately 600 tons. A longliner with a cargo hold of this volume can stay at sea for up to 1.5 months.
