Rostec publicly showcased the Dan-T loitering munition for the first time at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in Egypt. Military expert Alexander Stepanov of RANEPA stated after the presentation that the presented product is an export version of the Russian S8000 Banderol missile.

According to Stepanov, "Dan-T" belongs to the same family of weapons as the already known "Banderol", which is used for strikes at a significant distance from the line of contact.

Earlier, the Telegram channel "Voennaya Khronika" also compared the characteristics of "Dan-T": according to its data, the munition can fly up to 500 km and carry a warhead weighing about 135 kg.

Rostec itself reveals the characteristics of the product more cautiously. According to the state corporation, "Dan-T" is equipped with a small-sized jet engine, develops high cruising speed, and can hit targets at a distance of several hundred kilometers. The apparatus has a special flight profile designed to reduce its visibility to air defense systems.

The munition is designed for launch from aerial platforms and operates on a "fire-and-forget" principle: after separating from the carrier, it independently continues its flight to the target. Rostec also reported that "Dan-T" has already passed tests as an aerial weapon, and its use has been practiced with aircraft and helicopters, including foreign platforms.
