The Indian Air Force has not abandoned the idea of acquiring Su-57 fighters from Russia, despite the categorical stance of Defence Minister Rajesh Kumar Singh. The republic is concerned about the active deployment of Chinese J-20 combat aircraft in the Tibet region, IDRW agency reported.

According to the agency, the Indian army is considering the Su-57 option before the delivery of its own AMCA aircraft, but only as a "gap filler."

IDRW journalists claim that the French Rafale could gain an advantage over the Su-57 by relying on electronic warfare systems, radar, and weapon systems.

However, 5th generation superiority can be achieved through beyond visual range air combat capabilities and stealth combined with information technologies.

Recently, "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" in a major review article compared the main combat capabilities of the Su-57 and Rafale.

The Russian aircraft appears to be a more technologically ambitious fighter due to its speed, maneuverability, and armament, although the "Frenchman" retains chances due to the maturity of its platform.
