Five stations of the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line and the new "Serp i Molot" city terminal have been launched in Moscow. President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin participated in the opening of the facilities.

The first section of the new line includes two stations that previously operated as part of the Big Circle Line: "Delovoy Tsentr" and "Shelepikha". Three more stations opened for the first time – "Zvenigorodskaya", "Narodnoye Opolcheniye", and "Bulvar Generala Karbysheva".

It is expected that after the opening, passengers will make over 90,000 trips per day on the new line. By 2030, this figure is projected to grow to 130,000. Passengers will be transported by "Moskva-2026" model trains.

Construction of the second section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line is planned to be completed in 2027–2030. It is expected to include stations "Serebryany Bor", "Strogino", "SberCity", "Novorizhskaya", "Krasnogorsk", and "Izumrudnye Kholmy".

Simultaneously, the "Serp i Molot" city terminal opened in Moscow. It was built on the site of the renovated Gorkovsky direction station.

The new terminal has integrated the MCD-4 station, two metro lines – Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya with "Rimskaya" station and Kalininskaya with "Ploshchad Ilyicha" station, as well as ground transport and tram routes.

The main result of the upgrade will be faster transfers between MCD and the metro. The station was closed for two months – since July 6, and after its opening, the transfer time has been reduced from 15 to 3 minutes.
