Russia is offering India a comprehensive package for the 5th generation Su-57E fighter jets, including technology transfer, access to the source code of onboard systems, and local production of approximately 100 aircraft. This was stated by the IDRW agency.

According to the portal, other options include assembling 36–60 aircraft, producing two squadrons in cooperation with other countries, and transferring engine technology.

Article author Raunak Kunde expressed the opinion that the 2019 contract for the transfer of 76 Su-57s for its own Air Force is a small volume compared to orders for the F-35 and J-20.

Therefore, a large Indian order would support the production line and help offset development costs, Kunde concluded.

HAL Corporation confirmed that there are capabilities for Su-57 production in India, but this would require additional funding.
