The company has started selling the vehicle with a turbocharged gasoline engine and an automatic transmission. The new modification also features a redesigned interior, and the pickup model is available in two trim levels – "Lux" and "Premium".

The pickup received a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 224 hp and 390 Nm of torque. This same engine is used in the larger Sollers ST9 pickup.

The engine works in conjunction with an eight-speed hydromechanical automatic transmission. It is possible to shift gears manually if necessary.

The vehicle features a Part-time switchable all-wheel drive and a mechanical rear differential lock. The pickup's ground clearance is 210 mm. The company notes that this combination of characteristics provides the model with off-road capabilities.

Production of the Sollers ST8 is organized at the Sollers new technologies park in Ulyanovsk. Russian components are widely used in the production of the vehicle, including the transfer case, control units, and elements of safety systems. Galvanized metal is used for body parts.

The new version with a turbo engine and automatic transmission is available in "Lux" and "Premium" trim levels. Both have received an updated interior.

The basic "Lux" version includes LED headlights, electric power steering, cruise control, climate control, and leather interior trim. The front seats are heated.

The car also received exterior mirrors with electric adjustment, folding, and heating. The interior features a multimedia system with a 10.4-inch screen, to which external devices can be connected. The equipment includes a rearview camera and front and rear parking sensors.

The "Premium" version additionally received a 360-degree surround view system with cameras and an electric sunroof.

Safety is provided by ABS and ESC systems, as well as the HHC hill start assist. Airbags for the driver and front passenger are installed in the cabin.

The cargo platform of the Sollers ST8 measures 1520 × 1520 mm, and the side height is 470 mm. The compartment has a protective coating, and the vehicle's payload capacity is 900 kg.

Sollers ST8 Pickup Competitors

In the Russian market, the Sollers ST8 will compete with several models in the frame pickup segment. The closest rival is the JAC T8 Pro, as this model is considered the basis for the ST8. Another competitor is within the Sollers lineup itself – the ST6. These models are similar in purpose and characteristics, but the ST8 received richer equipment.

A special place among competitors is occupied by the UAZ "Pickup". The model is built on a frame structure, has switchable all-wheel drive, and is designed primarily for operation in conditions where simplicity of design and off-road capability are important.
