Autumn 2026 promises to be eventful for the Russian automotive market. Manufacturers are preparing several notable premieres – from the first Lada Azimut crossover to new SUVs. The new cars are expected to hit the market in the coming months and become some of the most anticipated new products of the season. The list of premieres includes Lada Azimut, the updated UAZ "Patriot", Sollers S9, and the new flagship Tenet T9.

Lada Azimut – What will AvtoVAZ's first crossover be like?
The main Russian premiere of the autumn will be the Lada Azimut – the first crossover in AvtoVAZ's history. Sales of the model are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, with production scheduled to start in the third quarter.
The model was first shown at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The crossover will receive engines with power ranging from 120 to 150 horsepower. The lineup includes gasoline engines with a volume of 1.6–1.8 liters, as well as a more powerful version with a 150 hp engine.
The Lada Azimut crossover also features a panoramic roof, dual-zone climate control, heated side windows, and a separate driving mode switch.

UAZ prepares a new engine and updates the "Patriot" interior
The updated UAZ "Patriot" is expected to appear in the third quarter of 2026. The main change will be a new 2-liter diesel engine with 136 horsepower, which will work with a six-speed manual gearbox.
In addition to the new engine, the SUV will receive LED optics, modified interior elements, a new steering wheel, instrument panel, and central tunnel.
The car is undergoing final tests at the NAMI proving ground. Previously, the model was tested in severe cold conditions – at temperatures down to minus 30 degrees.

Sollers will try to compete in a new segment
Sollers is preparing its first full-fledged frame SUV, the S9. Previously, the company mainly produced pickups and commercial vehicles.
Production of the car is planned to begin in September 2026, with market launch expected shortly thereafter.
The model is based on the Sollers ST9 pickup, which, in turn, is built on the platform of the Chinese JAC T9.
Customers will be offered versions with five and seven seats. The lineup will include two engines: a 2.0 L turbocharged gasoline engine with 200 hp and a 2.0 L turbodiesel with 143 hp. Both units work with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The basic configuration includes a pre-heater, heated seats for the first and second rows, a heated steering wheel, and a heated windshield.

The engine will work with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The basic equipment will include six airbags, an emergency response system for accidents, and a "winter" package. Additional features include a panoramic roof with a sunroof and adaptive cruise control.
