Sberbank introduced the second generation of "SberBoom", CNews reports. The development was carried out by SberDevices. The new product replaced the 2023 model. Externally, it retained continuity with its predecessor, but received several changes.

The main difference between the new model and the previous one is a monochrome LED display on the front panel and RGB backlighting around the top control panel. The time, weather, or traffic information can be displayed on the screen at the user's request.

The sound system has become more powerful: the total power has increased from 40 to 50 W. Inside, there is a 92-mm woofer, two full-range speakers, and a pair of passive radiators. The RAM has increased from 256 MB to 1 GB, and the built-in memory from 256 MB to 4 GB.

Instead of the "Salyut" voice assistant, the new speaker uses "GigaChat". The user can choose one of three voices and three communication styles - business, neutral, and friendly. It is also possible to set the address to "ty" (informal "you") or "vy" (formal "you"). The AI assistant remembers the context of the dialogue - the speaker can be interrupted and asked clarifying questions.

The new model features a motion sensor: when setting up scenarios, the speaker can react to a person approaching or turn off the lighting when there is no movement. The speaker received Matter over Wi-Fi support in addition to Zigbee. Thanks to the local AI model, smart device control by voice works even without the internet.

The price of the new product is 22 thousand rubles. For comparison, the first "SberBoom" cost 6 thousand rubles at launch. Among competitors, "Yandex Station 3" (50 W) costs about 29.8 thousand rubles, and "Station Max" (65 W) - 39.8 thousand rubles.
