The purpose of the invention is to develop a device that simulates the physical dimensions of a submarine to create a false target. When an enemy torpedo is launched, the device allows the submarine to evade the attack.
The patent description specifies that the product is equipped with an antenna, an onboard control system, a power plant, and a non-contact route assignment input device.
The cable of the flexible extended towed antenna has a length corresponding to the length of the submarine.
Hydrophones, acoustic emitters, and reflectors are attached to the cable, which create a false acoustic target. Explosive devices are also placed on it, which are activated when a torpedo approaches. The enemy projectile is destroyed without reaching its target.
