UMG has begun testing domestic travel drives and swing mechanisms for E225C/NC and E245C series tracked tractors. This stage will be part of a localization program that will increase the share of Russian components from the current 80% to 85% by 2027, according to the Rosspetsmash association.

The test cycle will last until the end of 2026. At the initial stage, engineers will evaluate the performance of the new units and their compliance with design characteristics. The program includes measuring the maximum speed of the machine, the rotation speed of the swing platform, and checking the operation of the drives in various operating modes.

After the factory stage, the excavators will be transferred to trial operation, where the equipment will be tested for resistance to prolonged peak loads. The total duration of the tests will exceed 600 operating hours, after which the domestic components are planned to be launched into mass production.
