Fifth-generation Su-57 fighters will be able to carry a combat load of two Kinzhal missiles. This was announced by Sergey Tovkach, an expert in unmanned systems and Candidate of Technical Sciences.

According to him, the Su-57 is becoming a new factor for striking deep targets, considering its increased stealth and so-called anti-radars, which "listen" to external signals and distort reflections.

Our Su-57, although by many estimates has a worse RCS than the American F-22 Raptor, meaning it can be detected from further away. But it carries a larger bomb and missile load and can carry two "Kinzhal" missiles, while the Raptor can only carry one missile of that class.

This is not about the standard Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" missile, which is 8 m long and weighs 4.3 tons. Tovkach is referring to a reduced version of the munition, adapted for the Su-57's hardpoints.

The IDRW agency, citing sources, reported that a prospective version of the "Kinzhal" could maintain hypersonic speed and achieve a range of up to 2000 km. Its characteristics have not yet been officially announced.
