The cost of one "Banderol" missile is estimated to be between 50 and 150 thousand dollars. This estimate was provided by foreign sources. For comparison, the price of the British Storm Shadow and French SCALP-EG is estimated at approximately 2 million dollars per missile.
Even the upper estimate for the "Banderol" is approximately 13 times lower than the cost of Western counterparts.
Military expert Alexander Stepanov from the Institute of Law and National Security of RANEPA called the economic component one of the key advantages of the new missile.
We are observing a technological transition from expensive products to mass-produced, high-precision, and versatile ones, capable of performing combat missions within combined and group strikes. The tactics of their application are transforming accordingly.
It should be noted that the official cost of armaments is usually not disclosed. This is a generally accepted practice.
Earlier, Stepanov stated that almost the entire nomenclature of the Russian Aerospace Forces could become carriers of the missiles – there would be no need to build a new bomber.
