Hero of Russia, Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev arrived at the Yu. A. Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City after a flight from the USA. This was reported by the CPC. The Russian cosmonaut was met by friends and relatives, fellow squad members, center management, and journalists.

Fedyaev feels well, according to the CPC. He will continue post-flight rehabilitation and undergo a series of medical and scientific studies.

The cosmonaut returned from orbit on October 8, 2026, as part of the Crew-12 mission — along with NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway and ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot. The Crew Dragon spacecraft splashed down off the coast of California. The flight lasted 237 days, 5 hours, and 18 minutes.

Fedyaev became the first Russian cosmonaut to fly on the American Crew Dragon twice. Both flights took place under the cross-flight agreement between Roscosmos and NASA.

Aboard the ISS, Fedyaev contributed to more than just the scientific program. During the expedition, he controlled the European manipulator from a console inside the ISS, and the ERA robotic arm transported cosmonauts for the first time between modules, eliminating the need to move manually along the handrails — which, he noted, saved the crew's time and energy.
