Engineers of KB "Vympel" (Nizhny Novgorod) have developed a project for a cruise liner for transportation across the Black and Mediterranean Seas. This will be the largest motor ship in the history of domestic shipbuilding. It will accommodate 2002 passengers.

Characteristics of the cruise liner:

• Length — 251 m
• Width — 34.4 m
• Speed — 22 knots
• Draft — 7.4 m
• Main engine — 4x8800 kW
• Auxiliary diesel generator — 3x4300 kW
• Shaft generator — 2x2500 kW

Passengers will be offered a choice of four types of double cabins, including the most comfortable Grand Suite. The liner will provide spaces for family recreation — restaurants, dining rooms, video game lounges, playrooms, billiards, and a fitness center.

The largest operational cruise liner in Russia is considered to be "Mustai Karim" (project PV 300), which belongs to the company "VodokhodЪ". The vessel was built at the "Krasnoye Sormovo" plant in Nizhny Novgorod in 2020.
