Kaliningrad's Avtotor may expand the production of Chinese Tank SUVs: following the Tank 300, the larger Tank 500 is likely to go into production. The database of the State Information System of Industry now lists eight variants of the model — with V6 gasoline engines, hybrid powertrains, and five- and seven-seat interiors. There is no official confirmation of these plans from the manufacturer yet.

The list includes two versions of the three-liter gasoline engine with 299 and 354 hp. In addition, hybrid powertrains based on two-liter engines are mentioned: one develops 245 hp, the other — 231 hp. Each of the four power configurations is provided for vehicles with five or seven seats.

The Kaliningrad enterprise already has experience assembling cars of this brand. In June 2026, Avtotor launched serial production of the Tank 300. The possible appearance of the Tank 500 will expand the brand's Russian production program with a larger frame SUV.

Currently, the Tank 500 is supplied to Russia from China. Cars manufactured in 2026 cost from 7.2 to 9.2 million rubles, depending on the modification and equipment. If localization takes place, Russian assembly will cover not only gasoline versions with V6, but also hybrid variants of the model.
