The company Wildberries & Russ has registered several dozen domain names indicating the creation of its own messenger, Kommersant reports, citing data from the SPARK-Interfax system. Among the registered addresses are wb-messenger ru, chat-wb ru, chat-vb rf, and others.

The idea of its own messenger is not new: in June 2026, Wildberries CEO Tatyana Kim already announced the launch of a test version of the service for employees. At that time, she noted that developers planned to scale the product further: first to the Russian market, and then to foreign markets.

According to Kim, active work on the messenger began after the merger of Wildberries with the outdoor advertising operator Russ in 2024, and now the project is gradually approaching its third year of development.

The company explained that marketplace users actively exchange links, discuss products, and communicate with sellers, so their own messenger should become a logical continuation of the Wildberries ecosystem. The official public launch date, name, and full set of features have not yet been announced. 

Against the backdrop of the growing number of Russian messengers after the blocking of Telegram, the new Wildberries service will appear in an already competitive niche: the market includes Max messenger from VK and Molniya messenger, positioning itself as an alternative to Max. Russians themselves have massively started migrating to American Imo, Korean KakaoTalk, and Turkish BiP.
