New photos have appeared online of the modernized Project 10410 "Svetlyak" 3rd rank border patrol ship, which is presumably undergoing factory sea trials. The images allow us to examine a number of changes in the design and armament of the new ship, which is being built for the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia.

The published images show that the updated "Svetlyak" received a 76-mm AK-176MA artillery mount in the bow and a six-barreled 30-mm AK-630 automatic mount in the stern. For Project 10410 ships, this marks a return to 76-mm artillery armament for the first time in almost a quarter of a century. Previously, most serial representatives of the family were equipped with lighter artillery systems.

Another notable difference was the additional protection of the pilothouse against drones. In addition, the ship is equipped with additional 12.7-mm machine guns, which expands its self-defense capabilities when performing tasks in the coastal zone.

Project 10410 "Svetlyak" remains the basis of the fleet of coastal border patrol ships. Modernized versions receive updated armament and equipment, while maintaining the dimensions and seaworthiness of the basic project.
