"Gerbera" was developed as a simpler and cheaper alternative to the "Geran" family of drones. At the same time, the aircraft maintained high efficiency thanks to composite materials and an optimized aerodynamic design. This is reported by the authors of the "Russkoye Oruzhiye" channel.

With a length of about two meters and a wingspan of 2.5 meters, the drone has a low effective radar cross-section, which makes it difficult to detect by radar systems. This design allows the aircraft to fly with a lower probability of timely detection.

The maximum takeoff weight of the "Gerbera" is about 18 kg. Depending on the configuration, it can carry a warhead weighing from 5 to 10 kg. With additional fuel tanks, the flight range reaches 600 km, and the cruising speed is up to 160 km/h. The practical ceiling is estimated at approximately 3000 meters.

According to available information, the "Seeker" version received a guidance system for the final segment of the route. Presumably, a simplified optoelectronic or television channel is used, allowing the operator to adjust the impact point before the flight ends.

The combination of relatively low cost, stealth, flight range, and precise guidance capabilities elevates the "Gerbera" from the category of auxiliary drones to a class of full-fledged strike aircraft. It is the preservation of the "Geran's" characteristics with a simpler and cheaper design that has become the main difference of the new version.
