The Ryazan company "Alfa-M" has developed a new system that detects small drones without active radar emission. The complex combines a high-contrast TV camera, a thermal imager, a aiming channel, a laser rangefinder, and neural network tracking.
The ultra-wide dynamic range of the surveillance camera exceeds 130 dB. With a focal length of 50 mm, its field of view is 13x8 degrees, and a full circular scan is performed in a minimum of 28 frames. The stated detection range for a 1x1 m target reaches 8.5 km, and for a DJI Phantom-type drone – 3.4 km.
The "highlight" of the system will be automatic target tracking using a neural network that operates at a frequency of at least 50 Hz.
For night operation and in difficult weather conditions, the complex is supplemented with a cooled thermal imager. According to the stated characteristics, it can detect a 1x1 m target at a distance of up to 8 km. The laser rangefinder operates at a distance of up to 10 km. All equipment is installed on a rotating platform with all-round visibility.
