FESCO Transport Group (part of Rosatom's management circuit) dispatched the first public container train on the Minsk — Novorossiysk route, the company's press service reported. The train covered the distance from Kolyadichi station to the Black Sea port in five days, after which the containers will be shipped to Turkey via the FESCO Turkey Black Sea maritime line.

The main difference of the new service is its public format. Previously, either individual trains for a specific cargo owner or wagon-load shipments were sent in this direction. Now, the company's clients can order transportation of a single container, which opens access to the route for small exporters.

In the future, the service will provide Belarusian manufacturers with a single logistics chain to the markets of India, the Arabian Peninsula, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. For now, the train will run once a month; in the future, the frequency may be increased.

FESCO is one of the largest transport and logistics operators in the country, managing the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port, a container fleet of 200,000 TEU, and a fleet of more than 30 vessels. Since 2023, the controlling stake in the group has belonged to Rosatom.

The launch of a regular container service from Belarus via Novorossiysk is a connection of rail and sea legs, which turns the Black Sea port into a window for Belarusian exports to the rapidly growing markets of the far arc.
