The Kaliningrad Amber Combine (part of "RT-Finance" of the Rostec State Corporation) manufactured the largest cup in the history of Russian amber production – the "Winners' Cup." According to the combine's press service, the highly artistic product, 124 cm high and weighing 32.9 kg, is made of rare landscape amber and is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Kaliningrad Region. The previous record holder – the "Abundance" vase from 1954 – weighed only 10 kg with a height of 105 cm.

Landscape amber, which accounts for no more than 2% in nature, owes its name to the intricate patterns formed by the combination of several shades of the gemstone. The cup's bowl was assembled using a mosaic technique from two thousand fragments – each detail was processed and fitted by hand. Ten masters worked on the product simultaneously, decorating it with stone-carved sculptural compositions and two handwritten icons, one of which depicts Saint George the Victorious. All work took four months.

The cup will complement the combine's museum collection and remain available for viewing. The Kaliningrad Amber Combine is the only enterprise in the world engaged in industrial mining and processing of amber; since 2021, a modern jewelry production facility has been operating here, producing about 170 thousand items annually. The classical school of mosaic and artistic stone carving, established with the founding of the combine in 1947, is now combined with experimental solutions.
