Specialists expanded the operational anchorage between Lock No. 2 and Lock No. 3 of the Volga-Don Shipping Canal. The dredger "Donskoy-701" of Project 4395 was used for dredging operations, as reported by the Rosmorrechflot press service.

This allowed for improved navigation conditions and enabled maneuvers for oversized vessels and convoys.
