A key project for integrating artificial intelligence into the Russian air defense system is planned for completion by November. This was announced by Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov during a meeting with war correspondents.
According to him, the development of artificial intelligence technologies has become one of the priority areas. Currently, special attention is paid to decision support systems for air defense assets. The Minister noted that this project is among the seven most important tasks that the department expects to implement by the end of the year. At least one civilian company is also participating in the work.
In addition, Belousov stated that artificial intelligence is already being used in Russian drones. According to him, neural network algorithms are primarily used for object recognition, automatic target acquisition, and navigation.
The Minister also reported that a unified infrastructure for data storage and processing is being created to train neural networks. Data centers continue to be deployed in various military groups, and the established data showcase is gradually being replenished with new information necessary for improving artificial intelligence algorithms.
