At the Sevmash shipbuilding enterprise, the construction of two series of nuclear submarines is simultaneously underway – strategic missile carriers of Project 995M "Borei-A" and multi-purpose nuclear submarines of Project 885M "Yasen-M". The progress of the state order was assessed by the head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, during a working trip to the Arkhangelsk region.
The General Director of the enterprise, Mikhail Budnichenko, reported to the minister that the work is being carried out in accordance with the approved schedules.
In addition to building new nuclear submarines, the plant is completing the repair and deep modernization of the heavy nuclear cruiser of Project 1144.2M, and also fulfilling civilian orders.
Special attention is paid to the development of the enterprise itself. Without stopping production, Sevmash continues its technical re-equipment, which is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the United Shipbuilding Corporation as part of the state program for the development of the defense industry complex.
