The new anti-aircraft artillery complex "Tsitadel" has received artificial intelligence and machine vision for detecting and tracking targets. Its main armament consists of 30-mm automatic cannons, similar to those used in the first modifications of the Pantsir air defense system, said retired Colonel Yuri Knutov.

According to Knutov, the key feature of "Tsitadel" lies in its shrapnel shells with programmable fuses. They allow setting the detonation time based on the distance to the target. The distance is determined using a radar or a laser rangefinder.
Thanks to this, we can say that the probability of hitting is not just high, but very high.
The optoelectronic system, Knutov clarified, works on the principle of a smartphone camera that identifies a person's face and tracks their movements. But the final decision to open fire remains with the operator.
The "Tsitadel" includes radar and optoelectronic stations, combat modules, and ammunition. The combat modules are housed in uninhabited turrets and can automatically turn towards the target.
