Rostec created the "Gorizont-VS" virtualization platform for government agencies, which will replace American VMware

The company "RT-Proektnye Tekhnologii" (part of Rostec) presented the domestic virtualization platform "Gorizont-VS" at the Corporation's business mission in the Vladimir region. The solution allows creating virtual servers even on outdated equipment and replaces foreign counterparts, including VMware and Hyper-V. The platform is aimed at government agencies and critical information infrastructure facilities.

"Gorizont-VS" is a type-1 hypervisor that works directly with server hardware, without an operating system layer. This excludes hacking by standard methods: changing the file system without the developer's electronic signature is impossible. The platform has an FSTEC certificate, which allows it to be used in systems of the first class of protection, on CII and with personal data of the highest level. The solution has already been implemented in Rostec, the Ministry of Construction, the Federal Customs Service, Russian Railways, and Transneft.

Installing the platform takes several hours instead of several days for most counterparts. Built-in monitoring independently finds all virtualization nodes, monitors disk status, and warns of problems before they affect users. Backup works both on schedule and in "hot" mode, and management settings can be restored even if the cluster is completely destroyed.

Vasily Zuikov, Deputy General Director of "RT-Proektnye Tekhnologii", noted that the platform is capable of working on servers older than 10 years, which are often found in regional government agencies. Migration from foreign platforms is performed without shutting down servers. The implementation is carried out by "RT-Informatsionnye Tekhnologii", providing a full range of services - from pilot projects to technical support and personnel training.

The corporation also presented the "Kamkiper" monitoring complex, the "RT-Docs" platform for working with documents, and "KPD-Project" for construction documentation. All solutions are included in the register of domestic software and have already proven their effectiveness in real operation.
