Russia and Belarus presented new wagons and bogies for CIS countries and Uzbekistan

This refers to new models from OZTM, TVSZ, and MVZ

On June 23, at a meeting of the Expert Group of the CIS Wagon Economy Commission, new developments in freight wagon construction were approved. The list included models from Osipovichsky Zavod Transportnogo Mashinostroeniya (OZTM, Belarus), Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant (TVSZ, Russia), Mogilev Wagon Building Plant (MVZ, Belarus), and a bogie from Ruzaevsky Zavod Khimicheskogo Mashinostroeniya (Ruzkhimmash, Russia).

OZTM proposed two models. The first is a tank car for ethyl alcohol 15-9511-01 with a boiler volume of 86.5 cubic meters and a carrying capacity of 68 tons. The second is a universal platform 13-3242 with a carrying capacity of 72 tons, a length of 14.62 meters, a wooden floor area of 37 square meters, and folding fitting stops. Both models are designed for an axle load of 23.5 tons.

The Tikhvin Plant (part of OVK) received a recommendation for new modifications of tank cars for petroleum products – models 15-9993-04 and 15-9993-05. The Mogilev Plant proposed a modification of the covered wagon 11-9931-01. The technical parameters of these new products have not yet been disclosed.

For the Andijan Mechanical Plant in Uzbekistan, the 18-9801 bogie from Ruzkhimmash with an axle load of 23.5 tons was recommended for use. It is planned to be used in the design of 11 wagon models – open wagons, tank cars, hoppers, and dump cars. The decisions of the Expert Group form the basis for updating the freight wagon fleet in the CIS.
