MS-21 Creator Calls Russian Liner the Most Technologically Advanced Aircraft in the World

Vitaly Naryshkin: The Power Supply System Has No Analogues

The medium-haul MS-21 aircraft has received a number of systems that have no direct analogues not only in Russia, but also in the world. This was stated by the program's chief designer, Vitaly Naryshkin.

According to him, when creating the liner, engineers actually had to develop many solutions from scratch. The task was not just to replace foreign components, but to create a new generation of aviation systems.

The power supply system has no analogues in the country and, in general, no direct analogues in the world. It is intelligent, with a very deep degree of self-control, very safe, reconfigurable in case of any failures, and ensures guaranteed safety of flight completion.

He added that a similar approach was used in the aircraft control system. It provides a high level of automation, safety, and piloting comfort.

Test pilot Oleg Mutovin of PAO "Yakovlev" stated that Russian aircraft manufacturers have surpassed the entire world in competencies in creating the MS-21 aircraft. It was built entirely with domestic components – something no other country can boast of.
