The certification progress level of the MS-21-310 airliner after full import substitution is at 89%. This was reported by analysts of the "Letayem vmeste" blog.

Initially, five prototype aircraft were involved in the tests. However, over the last month, only three of them flew — with numbers 73051, 73055, and 73057.

The first made only one flight to confirm aerodynamic characteristics. Aircraft No. 73055 accumulated over 500 flight hours, and No. 73057 — 233 hours.

The MS-21-310 is a key aircraft for the aviation industry. Its development began back in 2002, and the first concept was presented in 2007.

Economist Mikhail Khazin explained that the delay in MS-21 serial production is partly due to the peculiarities of fund distribution in different industrial sectors.

First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov stated that the MS-21 will become a direct competitor to the Airbus A320.
