The fully import-substituted SJ-100 received a number of technical solutions that have no direct analogues among Western competitors. This was stated by the editor-in-chief of Avia.ru, Roman Gusarov.
However, it is too early to evaluate the aircraft based on real operation, the specialist warned, as serial deliveries have not yet begun. Nevertheless, from the point of view of engineering solutions, the SJ-100 can already be considered one of the most modern developments.
They have a number of solutions – for example, in the SJ-100 – that are absolutely unique, putting it ahead of both Boeing and Airbus in the analogous class.
Gusarov clarified that this refers not only to the aircraft itself, but also to the large-scale work on creating a new production base.
Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov reported that serial production of import-substituted SSJ-100 will begin in 2027.
