At the Sakhalin droneport "Pushisty", tests of the InnoVtol-3s vertical take-off and landing UAV, equipped with the intelligent "Lesokhranitel" complex for early detection of forest fires, were successfully conducted. During the tests, the system detected simulated smoke, recognized it as a natural fire, and automatically sent a notification to the responsible services.
The software of the "Lesokhranitel" complex was integrated into the onboard system of the InnoVtol-3s UAV. Data transmission, determination of the fire's coordinates, and real-time monitoring were carried out through the "ERA-GLONASS" infrastructure.
The main feature of the development is artificial intelligence algorithms that analyze incoming data and allow distinguishing forest fires from technological emissions of industrial enterprises. This reduces the number of false alarms and increases the accuracy of fire detection at an early stage.
To test the capabilities of the complex, specialists simulated a forest fire using artificial smoke. After detecting signs of smoke, the system, without operator intervention, generated a message about a possible emergency and transmitted it to the relevant services.
The complex was developed by specialists from the "Krylya Sakhalina" scientific and production center in cooperation with Innopolis University. The tests confirmed the technology's readiness for use in monitoring forest areas and promptly detecting natural fires.
