The new Atom electric car has successfully passed certification crash tests and is ready for mass production and sales launch. This was announced by the developer company, JSC Kama.
A total of two production vehicles participated in the tests. The first withstood a frontal crash test simulating a head-on collision at a speed of 56 km/h. The second sample survived a side impact at a speed of 50 km/h.
After the successful completion of endurance, climatic, and corrosion tests, we can confidently say that the Atom electric car is ready for mass production and sales launch.
According to the results of both tests, all systems operated normally. The curtains fully covered the glazing, airbags and seat belts activated at the calculated time, and the high-voltage system and battery maintained their integrity.
