UAV developer explained the main problem of the "Yolka" drone interceptor

Although the complex is constantly evolving, its effectiveness remains questionable

The refusal to use a warhead in the "Yolka" drone interceptor significantly limits its capabilities. This was pointed out by the Telegram channel "UAV Developer".

The authors reminded that "Yolka" weighs only about 1.5 kg and is made of "papier-mâché".

You can calculate the kinetic energy on a pursuit course yourself. It cannot shoot down anything more than a "Dart". Except in cases of miraculous coincidence.

At the same time, the developer confirmed that "Yolka" is a very good kinetic interceptor that is constantly being developed. But the whole problem lies in the absence of a warhead, although charges for this task are mass-produced and are already being supplied to the troops.

Analysts from the Lost Armour project claimed that in its kinetic version, "Yolka" is no less effective than versions with a warhead. Therefore, the production of the latter is not yet planned.
