Frequency converters for controlling thrusters (improving maneuverability) from "Russkoye Elektrotekhnicheskoye Obshchestvo" (REO) company have been installed on the passenger motor ships "Viktor Astafiev" and "Andrey Dubensky" (Project A45-90.2) under construction in St. Petersburg. Shipbuilders are performing commissioning works.
The power of "Invers" series frequency converters is 200 kVA. The equipment provides smooth start and stop of the engine, controls its temperature, revolutions, and power.
The passenger vessels "Viktor Astafiev" and "Andrey Dubensky" are being built at the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard (SNSZ) by order of GTLK. The motor ships will operate on the Krasnoyarsk – Dudinka – Krasnoyarsk route.
