Omsk CHPP-4 Launches Online Emissions Control for Coal-Fired Generation

Three flue gas ducts at the station received separate monitoring sensors

In Omsk, at CHPP-4, part of the JSC "TGK-11" structure, an automatic emissions control system has been launched, which transmits environmental data directly to supervisory authorities around the clock. The launch marks the first implementation of such digital monitoring for coal-fired generation in the Omsk region and has enhanced the transparency of the large energy facility's operations.

The system is installed on the station's chimney, whose design includes three independent flue gas ducts. Separate sensors are placed on each of them, recording key emission parameters without interruptions and transmitting data automatically. This ensures continuous digital recording of environmental indicators at the emission source level.

As part of the modernization, eight similar complexes have already been installed at Omsk CHPPs. An additional system is planned for launch at CHPP-4, and similar equipment has already been commissioned at CHPP-3. Commissioning works are ongoing at CHPP-5 with the participation of specialists and representatives of Rosprirodnadzor, after which the equipment will be tested and put into operation.

Earlier, "Pervy Tekhnichesky" reported that the assembly of the main equipment of the new turbine unit at Omsk CHPP-4 was completed. According to JSC "TGK-11", energy specialists have installed cylinders – units into which steam is supplied under pressure and which are responsible for energy generation.
